Rather than arguing about magnets online, I figured the best approach was to build a proper vintage-spec PAF and swap only the magnet. Everything else stayed exactly the same.

Whether the result surprised you or confirmed what you expected, I hope it shows why I enjoy doing these hands-on experiments so much!
